The South African Military Health Service (SAMHS) is seeking a highly organised and experienced Administration Clerk: Supervisor (Patient Administration) to join the Area Military Health Unit in Wynberg. This position plays a critical role in coordinating administrative processes, ensuring compliance with organisational standards, and supporting personnel management within the military health environment.

This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative experience in patient administration, excellent communication skills, and the ability to supervise and streamline administrative functions within a structured public service setting.

๐ŸŽ“ Education

  • Grade 12 / Matric (NQF Level 4)

  • Equivalent qualification accepted

๐Ÿ’ผ Experience

  • Minimum 3 yearsโ€™ experience in patient administration (mandatory)

๐Ÿ“ 1. Office Administration & Compliance

  • Prioritising daily administrative tasks for efficient workflow

  • Managing leave administration, name lists, filing systems, and clerical processes

  • Typing and amending official departmental documents

  • Conducting and processing client surveys for service improvement

๐Ÿ“Š 2. Support to Management

  • Assisting managers with preparation of presentations and reports

  • Ensuring adherence to internal deadlines and target dates

  • Coordinating administrative procedures for department members

๐Ÿ‘ฅ 3. Personnel & Member Administration

  • Processing documentation related to contract renewals, terminations, and HR updates

  • Verifying personnel qualifications and training documentation

  • Ensuring compliance with policies and doctrine for:

    • Clearing in and out procedures

    • Leave management

    • Course nominations

    • Study applications funded by state

    • Study loan takeovers

    • Seminar and symposium attendance requests

  • Maintaining accurate records for audits, compliance checks, and internal reviews
