🧑‍💼 Job Overview

The Production Co-Ordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of garment production by coordinating technical information, production schedules, systems administration, and communication between planners, marker makers, CMTs, and internal teams.

This role requires strong technical garment knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure while ensuring production timelines are met.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

👕 Technical & Production Coordination

  • Work in line with the planner’s production schedule and provide continuous feedback on progress and constraints

  • Monitor order status to ensure PPOs are issued according to the production plan

  • Verify final orders and ensure accurate capture of size curves within the system

  • Check bulk fabric and trim delivery dates and escalate risks impacting issuing timelines

  • Confirm correct bulk fabric widths prior to production

  • Ensure the technical accuracy of BOMs, including fusings, bindings, and trims aligned with PP samples

  • Dispatch sealed samples with complete QA data packs to marker makers timeously

  • Capture all MMR details accurately, including patterns, fabric widths, contrasts, bindings, and special marker requirements

  • Liaise with marker makers on priorities and track turnaround times

  • Receive electronic LaySheets and CutFiles for CMTs with in-house plotters

  • Issue markers and sealed garments with PP documentation to CMTs

  • Photograph all samples prior to dispatch for record-keeping and query resolution

  • Resolve marker-related queries and errors efficiently

  • Plan and manage daily driver routes, including urgent and ad hoc requests

🗂️ General Administration

  • Proactively manage production-related issues to prevent delays

  • Communicate clearly across teams and levels to ensure timely problem resolution

💻 Systems & Process Management

  • Challenge system inefficiencies and propose process improvements

  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the Sync merchandise system

  • Accurately raise PPOs for vendors and POs for outwork on Sync

  • Reconcile PPOs against invoices and submit to finance for payment timeously

  • Update merchandise receipt status immediately upon receipt

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

📚 Education

  • Relevant qualification in Clothing Production, Fashion, Textile Technology, or Manufacturing (advantageous)

🧵 Experience

  • 2–5 years’ experience in a similar production or manufacturing coordination role

  • Strong technical understanding of garment construction, patterns, and marker making
