Job Purpose

The BI Data Analyst – Fraud Data Management & Analysis is responsible for managing, optimising, and analysing fraud-related data across the enterprise. The role supports accurate internal and regulatory reporting while delivering actionable insights into fraud risk and exposure. This position plays a critical role in ensuring data integrity, consolidating data from multiple fraud platforms, and developing both static reports and interactive Power BI dashboards to support informed decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth analysis of fraud data to identify trends, patterns, and emerging risks

  • Produce actionable insights to support fraud prevention and risk mitigation strategies

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance static reports and interactive Power BI dashboards

  • Ensure accurate, complete, and timely regulatory fraud reporting in line with governance standards

  • Integrate and harmonise data from PRM (Card Fraud), the Digital Banking Fraud Repository, and SAS Viya

  • Implement data validation controls to ensure data quality and integrity across all fraud systems

  • Collaborate with fraud detection teams, risk management, and business stakeholders to translate insights into action

  • Identify opportunities to improve fraud data processes, reporting efficiency, and analytical capability

  • Resolve data-related incidents through structured escalation and issue tracking

  • Continuously enhance analytical frameworks and reporting methodologies


Qualifications

Education

  • Essential: Diploma in Information Technology or a related field

  • Preferred: Degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Mathematics, or Statistics

Certifications (Advantageous)

  • DAMA or equivalent data management certification

Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience

  • 3–5 years’ experience in data analysis or BI-focused roles

  • Proven exposure to fraud data environments within financial services


Technical Skills & Tools

  • Advanced SQL proficiency

  • SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)

  • Power BI (essential for dashboard development and reporting)

  • Base SAS (highly advantageous)

  • Denodo (data virtualisation – advantageous)

  • Strong ETL and data integration capabilities
