Job Overview
MS Security is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Guard to join its Anti-Piracy Department. The Senior Guard will lead and supervise onboard maritime security operations, ensuring the protection of personnel, cargo, and vessels against piracy and maritime threats.
This role requires strong leadership, tactical decision-making, and a deep understanding of maritime security operations and international compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct pre-deployment briefings outlining mission objectives, security protocols, and emergency procedures

Coordinate closely with vessel captains and crew to assess risks and implement security plans

Maintain continuous situational awareness, monitoring vessel movements and threat intelligence

Train and supervise security personnel on:

Defensive tactics

Use of non-lethal weapons

Compliance with international maritime security regulations

Conduct regular drills and exercises to ensure readiness for piracy or emergency scenarios

Manage, inspect, and maintain all security equipment, including firearms, communications, and surveillance systems

Liaise with government authorities, maritime agencies, and private security partners

Compile detailed incident reports and post-operation debriefs, including recommendations for corrective actions

Mentor and guide junior guards, promoting professionalism, accountability, and teamwork
Minimum Requirements
🎓 Education & Training

Recognised maritime or security-related qualification (advantageous)

Certified maritime security training
🛡️ Experience

Proven experience in maritime security or anti-piracy operations

Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a security environment

Strong knowledge of maritime security protocols and international regulations

Experience with onboard security equipment and communication systems
