Job Overview

The Non-Motor Claims Consultant is responsible for end-to-end claims administration and client support within Personal Lines Operations.

The role focuses on registering, validating, and processing claims while managing client and broker expectations. The incumbent will operate within SLA and turnaround time targets, ensuring first-call resolution where possible and delivering a seamless service experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Register, validate, and process non-motor claims on business systems

  • Assist clients and brokers with claims queries and process explanations

  • Manage inbound and outbound call centre interactions

  • Obtain and verify required claim information

  • Issue clear instructions to internal and external stakeholders

  • Deliver consistent follow-ups to ensure claim progression

  • Resolve claim queries within SLA and TAT targets

  • Escalate and manage complaints timeously

  • Focus on first-call resolution

  • Adhere to SOPs and operational processes

  • Provide general administrative support and ad hoc assistance


Qualifications

Education

Minimum:

  • Matric

  • Short-Term Insurance qualification (150 credits)

Advantageous:

  • RE1 certification


Experience

  • Minimum 5 yearsโ€™ claims experience

  • Experience within short-term insurance

  • Strong product knowledge in personal lines insurance

  • Experience working in SLA-driven environments

  • Call centre exposure (inbound and outbound)
