Job Overview

The Risk Technology Intern role provides graduates with practical exposure to automation, digital transformation, and low-code application development within the operational risk technology environment.

Interns will support the development of digital tools and automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies, while assisting with risk data analysis, workflow optimisation, and operational reporting.

This internship offers hands-on experience working with experienced professionals on live technology projects, enabling interns to develop valuable technical and analytical skills within a modern risk technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Development & Automation

  • Support the development of low-code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)

  • Assist with building model-driven and canvas applications to digitise operational risk processes

  • Help design automated workflows that improve efficiency and control environments

  • Contribute to building and maintaining dashboards and reporting tools for risk monitoring

Operational Risk & Process Support

  • Assist with documenting operational risk processes and system improvements

  • Support the digitisation and optimisation of manual processes

  • Perform data cleaning, validation, and basic analysis for reporting and insights

Testing, Quality Assurance & Governance

  • Participate in system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities

  • Maintain testing logs and assist with troubleshooting issues

  • Ensure compliance with change management and documentation standards

Documentation & User Support

  • Prepare solution design documents, process flows, and user guides

  • Assist in creating training materials for new digital tools

  • Provide support to users during system rollouts and implementation phases

Qualifications

Education

Candidates must meet at least one of the following:

  • National Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or Higher Certificate in:

    • Information Technology

    • Computer Science

    • Information Systems

    • Risk Management, Operations, or related field (with a strong technology interest)

  • Final-year students requiring workplace experience may also be considered.

Technical Knowledge & Experience

  • Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse)

  • Basic understanding of relational databases and database design

  • Exposure to SQL and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio

  • Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3

  • Understanding of data security and compliance principles

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools such as Excel, SharePoint, and Teams

Advantageous Skills

  • PL-200 certification or practical Power Platform experience

  • PL-400 certification (highly advantageous)

  • Coursework or experience with SQL, Python, or data analytics

  • Participation in hackathons, IT societies, or innovation projects
