Job Overview

The Yes4Youth Learnership programme offers unemployed South African youth an opportunity to gain workplace experience within a professional logistics environment. Learners will support warehouse operations, assist with loading and offloading tasks, and follow operational procedures under the guidance of supervisors and team leaders.

This programme is designed to help participants develop practical workplace skills, gain exposure to supply chain operations, and build a foundation for future career opportunities in logistics and distribution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with loading and offloading goods according to delivery and warehouse procedures.

  • Learn and follow client-specific operational requirements.

  • Use warehouse equipment correctly and report any defects immediately.

  • Identify and report any discrepancies related to customer merchandise.

  • Work in different operational areas as assigned by management.

  • Follow standard operating procedures and safe working practices.

  • Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping within the warehouse environment.

  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.

  • Participate in stock counts and inventory-related activities.

  • Complete assigned tasks within required timeframes.

  • Support the team in maintaining a productive and efficient work environment.


Qualifications

Education

  • Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.

Experience

  • No prior work experience required.

  • Previous exposure to warehouse operations or logistics environments is beneficial but not required.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good written and verbal communication in English.

  • Strong organisational and analytical abilities.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities when required.
