Job Overview

The Professional Nurse will be responsible for delivering safe, comprehensive, and high-quality nursing care in line with Scope of Practice regulations. The role involves working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes and a positive care experience.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Education

• Degree or Diploma in General Nursing

• Advantageous:

  • Midwifery qualification

  • Postgraduate certificate/diploma in a relevant specialty

Experience

• No minimum experience required

• Advantageous:

  • 1 year post-qualification experience (especially for specialised units)

Skills

• Knowledge of nursing procedures and patient care

• Strong patient assessment and care planning skills

• Understanding of infection prevention and control

• Knowledge of pharmacology and nursing legislation

• Risk identification and patient safety awareness

• Basic Life Support (ACLS, ATLS, PALS where applicable)

• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
