Job Overview

The Hotel Cleanliness Expert (Room Attendant) plays a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of rooms and public spaces. This role goes beyond traditional housekeeping by focusing on creating a welcoming and memorable environment for guests.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high hygiene standards, responding to guest needs, and supporting overall hotel operations in a professional and efficient manner.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas
  • Replace linens, towels, and guest amenities according to hotel standards
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and housekeeping needs
  • Ensure all appliances and room features are functional and report any faults
  • Follow proper cleaning procedures using appropriate chemicals and equipment
  • Maintain housekeeping carts, storage areas, and cleaning supplies
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management
  • Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Support colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent guest service

Qualifications

Education

  • Matric certificate or equivalent qualification

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in housekeeping or a similar role preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude
