Job Overview

The YES Youth Opportunity is designed to give young South Africans valuable entry-level work experience in the retail sector. This programme provides practical exposure, workplace skills, and a foundation for future employment, making it ideal for candidates entering the job market for the first time.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily retail store operations
• Support customer service and sales activities
• Maintain store presentation and stock organization
• Work collaboratively with team members
• Follow company procedures and operational standards

Qualifications

Education:

• Matric (preferred but not mandatory)

Experience:

• No formal work experience required
• Must not have been permanently employed for more than 12 months with one employer

Skills:

• Good communication skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt
• Basic customer service mindset
• Teamwork and reliability
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Additional Requirements:

• Aged between 18–28 years
• Not studying full-time between April 2026 – March 2027
• Must not have participated in the YES programme before
• Must arrange own accommodation and transport (if applicable)
