Job Overview

The HR Manager & Administrator will oversee the full HR function, including administration, employee relations, compliance, and HR systems management.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong HR systems experience (especially Sage 300), who can manage processes end-to-end while ensuring compliance with South African labour legislation.


Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Administration

  • Manage all HR processes ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency
  • Maintain employee records, contracts, and HR documentation
  • Ensure data integrity across HR systems

Systems & Reporting

  • Administer Sage 300 and HR/timekeeping systems
  • Monitor attendance and reporting accuracy
  • Prepare HR reports for management

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Enforce company policies and disciplinary procedures
  • Manage grievances and disciplinary hearings
  • Represent the company at the CCMA
  • Advise management on employee relations matters

Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Handle end-to-end onboarding (contracts, inductions, system access)
  • Manage resignations, terminations, and exit processes

Labour Law & Policy Management

  • Ensure compliance with BCEA, LRA, EEA, UIF, COIDA
  • Update HR policies in line with legislation

Qualifications

Education

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or related field (preferred)

Experience

  • 1–3 years’ experience in HR management or administration
  • Experience with Sage 300 and HR systems
  • Proven experience handling CCMA matters

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of South African labour laws
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to enforce policies consistently and fairly
  • Problem-solving and decision-making ability
