Job Overview

The Automation Design Practitioner will support the design and development of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions within Nedbank’s Personal and Private Banking division.

You will work closely with senior practitioners to analyse business requirements, design automation solutions, and develop processes using Blue Prism and agile methodologies.

This role is perfect for candidates with foundational automation experience who are eager to grow their careers in RPA, business analysis, and process optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in requirements gathering and business analysis under supervision.
• Participate in process walkthroughs and stakeholder engagements.
• Apply design thinking and problem-solving skills to automation solutions.
• Develop and document automation requirements and technical designs.
• Create process flow diagrams and solution documentation.
• Build automation solutions following RPA best practices (Blue Prism).
• Perform testing (positive, negative, and stress testing) of automated processes.
• Debug, maintain, and improve automation processes.
• Collaborate with teams and seek continuous learning and mentorship.

Qualifications

Education

• Diploma (NQF Level 6 preferred) in:
  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology or related field

Experience

• 12–24 months experience in Blue Prism development
• Exposure to:
  • Business analysis techniques
  • Software testing
  • Process automation

Skills

• Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
• Experience with Blue Prism (essential certification required)
• Understanding of business analysis and process mapping
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to document both business and technical requirements
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies
• Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
