Job Overview
Caterpillar is seeking an experienced Digital Marketing Consultant – Africa to join its Customer Solutions & Engagement team.
This strategic regional role focuses on dealer-led growth, demand generation, digital campaigns, customer engagement, and lead quality across African markets.
The successful candidate will work closely with leadership, dealers, CRM teams, and agencies to translate global strategies into locally relevant B2B marketing campaigns that drive measurable sales impact.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Marketing Strategy
- Develop and execute Africa-wide marketing communication strategies
- Translate global value propositions into local market messaging
- Align campaigns with customer needs and market maturity
- Maintain consistent brand positioning across products and services
Dealer Enablement & Channel Marketing
- Advise dealers on campaign planning and execution
- Support dealer lead generation and conversion strategies
- Drive retail-focused demand generation across the customer journey
- Improve follow-up discipline and sales effectiveness
Demand Generation & Campaign Execution
- Lead integrated campaigns for:
- new product launches
- service adoption
- digital technology solutions
- segment growth priorities
- Manage digital, social, content, and event-based campaigns
- Align campaigns to measurable sales pipeline goals
Digital Marketing & CRM
- Partner with CRM teams on:
- lead capture
- customer segmentation
- targeting
- customer journey improvements
- Support marketing automation and lead management
- Improve digital engagement and campaign scalability
Market Intelligence & Insights
- Analyze:
- customer behavior
- market trends
- competitor positioning
- Use insights to optimize messaging and investment decisions
Agency & Budget Management
- Manage agencies and external suppliers
- Set campaign KPIs and ROI expectations
- Monitor budgets and performance optimization
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Marketing
- Communications
- Business
- related field
Experience
- 7–10+ years’ experience in:
- marketing communications
- B2B marketing
- industrial or dealer-led environments
- Experience in African markets preferred
- Channel/dealer marketing experience highly advantageous
