Job Overview

RCL Foods is seeking a detail-oriented QA Administrator to join its Groceries Business Unit in Randfontein. The role focuses on providing administrative support to the Quality Assurance and Food Safety department, ensuring accurate documentation, compliance, and reporting across systems such as SQA, QFS, and SHERQX.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily filing and verification of receiving records and supplier documents (COA/COC)
  • Capture and escalate supplier non-conformance reports (NCRs)
  • Maintain and update supplier quality assurance (SQA) documentation
  • Assist during audits and mock recalls by retrieving required records
  • Maintain training matrices and track training records for staff
  • Manage SHERQX documentation, including uploading and archiving files
  • Cross-check system registers with uploaded documents for accuracy
  • Maintain document storerooms and coordinate archiving processes
  • Compile weekly QFS reports and monthly food safety presentations
  • Support customer and export documentation requirements
  • Maintain customer portals with updated certifications
  • Collect and submit training records to learning and development
  • Update and maintain site notice boards and certifications
  • Perform general administrative duties as required

Qualifications

Education

  • National Diploma in Food Technology, Biotechnology, or equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry

Skills

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong administrative and organizational abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Technical understanding of food safety systems
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
