Job Overview

The Quality Internship (Food Safety & Quality Systems) provides graduates with hands-on experience in implementing food safety and quality management systems within a real operational environment.

You will support packing operations by assisting with the implementation and transition of the SmartFoodSafe software, gaining exposure to food safety regulations, quality standards, and compliance processes.

This internship is ideal for candidates interested in food safety, quality assurance, and industrial processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing SmartFoodSafe software in packing operations
  • Support transition and testing of quality inspection forms
  • Learn and apply food safety programmes within operations
  • Assist in migrating food safety systems into digital platforms
  • Support training of operational teams on system usage, KPIs, and CAPA processes
  • Help implement corrective and preventive action (CAPA) programmes
  • Gain exposure to regulatory standards such as FSMA and GFSI
  • Support quality system documentation and compliance processes

Qualifications

Education

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Diploma or Degree in:
    • Food Technology
    • Industrial Engineering
    • Quality Management
    • Or a related field

Experience

  • No prior experience required
  • Interest in food safety and quality systems is essential
