Job Overview

EXL is seeking a dynamic Human Resource Business Partner to collaborate closely with business leaders and drive impactful HR strategies. This role focuses on shaping organisational culture, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring effective talent management practices.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives while supporting workforce planning, compliance, and performance management in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to implement people strategies and HR initiatives
  • Drive employee engagement and organisational development programs
  • Coach and support managers on HR frameworks, tools, and best practices
  • Foster a high-performance, inclusive, and diverse workplace culture
  • Provide expert HR guidance and act as a trusted advisor to leadership
  • Collaborate with Payroll, HR Shared Services, Legal, and other departments
  • Manage employee relations matters including disciplinary actions and disputes
  • Support performance management and workforce planning processes
  • Ensure compliance with South African labour laws and company policies
  • Communicate HR updates effectively across the organisation

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or related field (preferred)

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience
  • At least 3 years’ experience as an HR Business Partner
  • Experience in the BPO industry is advantageous

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and influencing abilities
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Solid understanding of South African labour legislation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with HRIS systems and data analytics
