Job Overview
Valterra Platinum is seeking a detail-oriented Learning Administrator to support the coordination and administration of training programs within the Contractor Onboarding Department.
This role is ideal for an organised individual who thrives in a structured environment and is passionate about learning and development. The successful candidate will ensure smooth training operations, maintain accurate records, and support compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate training logistics including materials, equipment, and catering
- Communicate training schedules, invitations, and reminders to participants
- Maintain training calendars, databases, and reporting systems
- Act as the first point of contact for training-related queries
- Update and maintain employee training records on LMS/HRIS systems
- Support the organisation of recognition events and training ceremonies
- Ensure accurate documentation of attendance, compliance, and certification records
- Prepare reports and documentation for audits and inspections
- Assist with implementing improvements from training evaluations and compliance audits
- Collaborate with Learning Advisors, Supervisors, and HR teams
Qualifications
Education:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Secretarial Diploma (advantageous)
Experience:
- 1–3 years’ experience in a learning administration or similar environment
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and HRIS platforms
- Basic understanding of South African labour laws and training regulations
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
