Job Overview

The General Administrator role is a high-responsibility administrative position supporting maintenance crew deployment, logistics, training administration, and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will coordinate local and international crew scheduling, travel, licensing, compliance documentation, and executive operational support.

This is an ideal role for candidates with experience in aviation administration, maintenance organisation support, or high-level operations coordination.


Key Responsibilities

Crew Scheduling and Deployment

  • Coordinate local and international crew deployments
  • Prepare deployment documentation packs
  • Manage crew scheduling and rotation plans
  • Ensure efficient crew allocation
  • Support Super Puma and Black Hawk maintenance crews

Travel and Logistics

  • Arrange travel and accommodation
  • Coordinate ground transport
  • Manage visa and work permit applications
  • Track deployment and travel costs
  • Liaise with travel providers and stakeholders

Training and Licensing

  • Maintain AME stamp control register
  • Monitor licence renewals
  • Track training certifications
  • Update Air Maestro and related systems
  • Maintain compliance and training matrix

Regulatory Compliance

  • Maintain audit-ready records
  • Support Part 145 compliance
  • Manage DCAC, SAO, and SATA documentation
  • Ensure timely regulatory submissions
  • Support internal compliance programmes

Executive Support

  • Assist with operational reporting
  • Coordinate executive travel logistics
  • Support Director of Maintenance
  • Assist Regional Head of Maintenance – Africa

Qualifications

Education

Essential:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

Advantageous:

  • Business Administration qualification
  • Compliance Management qualification
  • Project Management certification

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience
  • Maintenance administration
  • Crew scheduling
  • Deployment coordination
  • AMO compliance administration

Highly advantageous:

  • International crew logistics
  • Helicopter operations exposure
  • Fixed-wing operations experience
