Job Overview
The Junior Graphic Designer role is ideal for a recent graduate who is passionate about visual communication and digital content creation. The successful candidate will assist with the development of online content, visual presentations, copy layouts and marketing materials.
You will play a key role in supporting quarterly marketing campaigns, creating content for digital and multimedia platforms and helping to roll out new design projects. This position suits someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing accurate and visually appealing work.
Key Responsibilities
- Design online content, layouts and visual presentations
- Create graphics and supporting copy for publications and marketing material
- Assist with the launch and rollout of new projects
- Coordinate and produce online items required for quarterly marketing campaigns
- Develop creative content for multimedia devices and digital platforms
- Prepare artwork for print production and pre-production processes
- Ensure all designs meet brand guidelines and quality standards
- Review layouts carefully for spelling, alignment and overall accuracy
- Translate creative briefs into polished and consistent final designs
- Work closely with the marketing and project teams to meet deadlines
- Manage multiple design tasks and adjust to changing priorities
Qualifications
Education
- Matric / Grade 12
- Graphic Design Degree or Diploma
Experience
- Suitable for a recent graduate or junior designer
- Previous exposure to graphic design projects, internships or freelance work will be advantageous
- Experience with print production and print pre-production processes is beneficial
Skills
- Strong creative thinking and artistic ability
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent command of the English language
- Ability to work under pressure and manage shifting priorities
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work accurately from a design brief
