Job Overview
The Senior HR Specialist is responsible for managing and executing core human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
This role partners closely with leadership to align HR strategies with business goals while fostering a productive and engaged workforce in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Management
- Manage full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to onboarding
- Develop talent pipelines aligned with workforce planning needs
- Ensure a seamless and professional candidate experience
Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Handle disciplinary processes, grievances, and employee relations matters
- Support performance management processes and employee development
- Promote a positive workplace culture and engagement
HR Compliance & Administration
- Ensure HR policies comply with South African labour legislation
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
- Monitor HR processes to ensure consistency and legal compliance
Strategic HR Support
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning and HR strategy
- Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives
- Support organisational development and change initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Experience
- 5–8 years’ HR experience
- Experience in fintech or fast-paced industries is advantageous
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of South African labour laws
- Proven ability to manage multiple HR functions independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving ability
