Job Overview

The client is seeking a highly experienced Cloud Engineer / Cloud Architect with strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise and DevOps capabilities. This role involves designing and managing scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure while driving automation and modern DevOps practices across enterprise systems.

You will operate in a senior technical capacity, collaborating with multiple stakeholders to deliver robust cloud solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade GCP infrastructure focused on scalability, security, and high availability
Architect cloud-native and hybrid solutions using Google Cloud Platform
Lead DevOps initiatives including CI/CD pipelines, automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and monitoring systems
Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable cloud solutions
Act as a technical advisor on cloud architecture, DevOps strategy, and best practices
Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues
Ensure adherence to security, governance, and operational standards across all cloud environments

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience

10+ years in Cloud Engineering, Cloud Architecture, and DevOps roles
Extensive hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (mandatory)
Proven experience in enterprise-level cloud infrastructure design and deployment
Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments

Skills

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) architecture and services
CI/CD pipeline design and implementation
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, etc.)
Cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks
DevOps automation and monitoring tools
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Problem-solving and incident resolution in production environments
