Job Overview
The Professional Nurse β Hepato Renal is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality nursing care within a specialised unit. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, the role involves coordinating patient care, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with clinical standards.
The successful candidate will also contribute to staff development, maintain accurate records, and ensure optimal utilisation of resources to support patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team
- Identify, prevent, and manage clinical risks to ensure patient safety
- Maintain accurate and detailed nursing records and documentation
- Facilitate a positive patient experience and supportive care environment
- Develop and implement nursing care plans
- Support training and development of nursing staff
- Ensure accurate tracking and management of stock and medical equipment
- Comply with healthcare regulations and quality standards
Qualifications
Education
- Diploma leading to registration as a General Nurse or
- 4-year Nursing Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing
Experience
- 2β3 yearsβ experience in a similar clinical environment
Skills
- Strong patient assessment and clinical care skills
- Knowledge of nursing procedures and pharmacology
- Infection prevention and control practices
- Nursing record keeping and documentation
- Understanding of relevant nursing legislation
- Risk identification and management
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
Additional Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ACLS, ATLS, or PALS certification (advantageous for specialised units)
