Job Overview

Feedem Group is looking for a Management Accountant to support operational teams and Heads of Departments through financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting. The role is critical in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and performance optimisation across the business.

The successful candidate will also lead a team, manage reconciliations, and contribute to financial planning and strategic decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Assist operations and HODs with financial planning
  • Monitor income and expenditure performance
  • Ensure implementation of standard operating procedures

Reconciliation

  • Perform reconciliation between accounting systems and P&L reports
  • Resolve variances and discrepancies in general ledger accounts
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly reconciliations

Financial Reporting & Audit

  • Prepare and process monthly journals
  • Produce and distribute financial reports
  • Support annual financial and BEE audits
  • Compile management accounts for senior leadership

Asset & Contract Management

  • Manage asset accounting (purchases, disposals, transfers)
  • Monitor contract profitability and performance
  • Ensure client contracts are updated and compliant

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and financial regulations
  • Implement financial policies and procedures
  • Manage risks related to financial operations
  • Maintain professional body memberships

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead and manage administration clerk team
  • Conduct performance management and staff development
  • Foster a productive and collaborative work environment

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Support operational teams with financial insights
  • Maintain strong professional relationships across the business

Qualifications

Education

  • Honours Degree / Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting or Finance
  • CA(SA), CIMA, BCompt, or BCom Accounting (advantageous)

Experience

  • 1โ€“2 yearsโ€™ experience in a service-related or similar industry
  • Experience with financial systems and operational support tools

Skills

  • Budgeting and forecasting expertise
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced MS Office proficiency
  • Financial reporting and reconciliation skills
  • Knowledge of IFRS and compliance requirements
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Additional Requirements

  • SAIPA or SAICA registration (preferred)
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and own transport
