Job Overview

The Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing engineering projects within the formwork and scaffolding environment. This role involves independent project management, technical design, and stakeholder coordination to deliver efficient and compliant engineering solutions.

You will play a key role in translating client requirements into practical engineering designs, supporting project execution, and driving technical excellence across multiple projects.


Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Plan and execute engineering projects independently
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and technical stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with technical standards and project requirements

Design & Technical Development

  • Develop engineering designs based on client or consultant specifications
  • Perform preliminary structural and static calculations
  • Create technical proposals and solution presentations

Client Engagement

  • Present engineering solutions and proposals to clients
  • Collaborate directly with clients to refine project requirements
  • Provide technical advice and problem-solving support

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide technical leadership on assigned projects
  • Guide and support team members involved in project execution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to optimise outcomes

Problem Solving & Innovation

  • Analyse project challenges and develop effective engineering solutions
  • Continuously improve processes and technical approaches

Qualifications

Education

  • BTech, BEng, or BSc Engineering Degree (Civil or Mechanical Engineering)

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in formwork or scaffolding engineering
  • Experience in project planning and engineering design

Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, BricsCAD, or similar design tools
  • Strong structural analysis and engineering calculation skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in teams
