Job Overview
The Reliever-1 role is an operational support position within the packaging and production environment. The successful candidate will assist across multiple packaging lines, ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently.
This role is ideal for individuals seeking entry into the manufacturing or FMCG industry, offering hands-on experience with machinery, production processes, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
⚙️ Production & Machinery
- Operate and monitor beverage packaging machinery (bottling, sealing, labelling, palletising)
- Ensure machines run efficiently and meet production targets
- Assist with setup and changeovers when required
📦 Packaging & Materials
- Ensure packaging materials (bottles, cans, cartons, labels) are available and loaded
- Support inventory control of packaging materials
- Maintain smooth workflow across packaging lines
🧼 Hygiene & Safety
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the packaging area
- Follow all health, safety, and food safety regulations
- Report hazards, faults, or unsafe conditions immediately
🔍 Quality Control
- Conduct routine checks to ensure packaging meets company standards
- Monitor product quality and consistency
- Identify and report defects or irregularities
👥 Team Support
- Assist across different lines depending on operational needs
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets
- Adapt quickly to changing tasks and responsibilities
Qualifications
🎓 Education
- Grade 12 / High School Diploma or equivalent
💼 Experience
- Previous manufacturing or packaging experience (advantageous but not required)
🛠️ Skills
- Ability to operate basic machinery
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work shifts and adapt to different roles
- Physical fitness for repetitive tasks and lifting
