The Receiving Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring that all incoming materials, consumables, and engineering spares are accurately received, inspected, and recorded.

You will be responsible for maintaining inventory integrity, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting seamless supply chain operations within the mine.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organised, and experienced in inventory or warehouse environments, especially within mining or industrial sectors.


🎯 Key Responsibilities

πŸ“¦ Receiving & Inspection

  • Receive all incoming goods including spares, consumables, fuel, and reagents
  • Verify deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes
  • Inspect goods for damage, quantity, and quality compliance
  • Report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods immediately

🧾 Documentation & Systems

  • Capture all received goods into ERP/inventory systems
  • Generate and maintain Goods Received Notes (GRNs)
  • Ensure all documentation is completed, signed, and filed correctly
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records

πŸ“Š Stores & Inventory Control

  • Ensure proper labelling, tagging, and storage of materials
  • Assist with binning and correct stock placement
  • Participate in stock counts, cycle counts, and audits
  • Prevent stock loss, duplication, or incorrect entries

⚠️ Safety, Health & Compliance

  • Comply with the Mine Health & Safety Act (MHSA)
  • Follow safe handling and lifting procedures
  • Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials
  • Maintain a clean and safe receiving area

🚚 Logistics & Coordination

  • Coordinate deliveries with transporters and suppliers
  • Communicate delivery updates to procurement and internal teams
  • Assist with offloading using equipment (if licensed)
  • Support urgent and priority deliveries

Minimum Education
