Job Overview

adidas is looking for a motivated and energetic Retail Sales Associate to join its Canal Walk store team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will assist with daily store operations, customer service, sales support, merchandising, and stock management while maintaining adidas retail standards.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about retail, customer engagement, and sportswear products, and who thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to every shopper
• Assist customers in selecting suitable adidas products
• Process sales transactions including cash and card payments
• Support stockroom and sales floor product movement
• Maintain store cleanliness and housekeeping standards
• Assist with merchandise displays and promotional setups
• Ensure company stock and assets are protected at all times
• Develop strong product knowledge to support sales efforts
• Use upselling and add-on sales techniques to meet store targets
• Operate the point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently
• Greet customers and create a welcoming shopping experience
• Follow all company retail policies and operational procedures

Education

• Matric certificate required

Experience

• 2–4 years’ retail experience preferred
