Job Overview
The Gauteng Department of Environment is inviting unemployed South African graduates to apply for the Compliance & Enforcement Internship Programme for 2026β2028. This internship programme is aimed at providing graduates with practical workplace experience and professional development within environmental compliance and enforcement operations.
Interns will gain exposure to environmental legislation, compliance monitoring, inspections, reporting processes, and departmental projects while working under the supervision of experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with environmental compliance and enforcement activities
- Support inspections, monitoring, and reporting processes

- Conduct research and collect compliance-related information
- Assist with preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation
- Support administrative and operational tasks within the division

Qualifications
Education
Applicants must possess a completed Diploma, Degree, or Honourβs qualification in:
- Environmental Science

- Natural Science
