Job Overview

The EPWP Data Capturer: EPWP Reporting programme is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity designed to provide unemployed youth with hands-on experience in data capturing, reporting systems, and administrative support within government structures.

Successful candidates will work across various provinces assisting in data management, reporting compliance, and monitoring of EPWP projects. This role supports government planning, reporting accuracy, and programme accountability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Capture monthly EPWP progress reports on official reporting systems
  • Develop and maintain EPWP reporting databases
  • Reconcile submitted and expected project reports
  • Identify and report non-compliant or missing project data
  • Assist in updating data management tools per project
  • Compile exception reports on captured data
  • Support data quality assessments and reporting processes
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and administrative documentation
  • Assist in monitoring EPWP compliance and reporting accuracy
  • Support general administrative duties within the programme
  • Provide feedback on data inconsistencies to supervisors

Qualifications

Education

Applicants must have:

  • A recognised Bachelor’s Degree OR National Diploma (3 years)
  • Qualification in a related field

Experience

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Exposure to data capturing, reporting, or government systems is an advantage

Skills

  • Basic understanding of data management and reporting systems
  • Knowledge of EPWP programmes and government structures
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Basic stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours
