What You Will Do as a Power Pallet Truck Driver

Your key responsibility will be to safely and accurately move stock between locations, supporting DHL’s operational efficiency and maintaining the integrity of goods handled.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the Low-Level Order Picker (LLOP) and Power Pallet Truck (PPT) safely and effectively.

• Move and stack stock according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workplace instructions (WIs).

• Transport goods between designated areas, ensuring products are handled with care to avoid damage.

• Perform daily inspections and report any defects or faults on equipment.

• Maintain excellent housekeeping and hygiene standards within your work area.

• Participate actively in stock counts and assist with inventory management.

• Complete administrative tasks as required by SOP.

• Adhere strictly to health and safety policies to ensure a safe work environment.

• Support change initiatives and adapt to evolving operational needs.

• Wear company uniform with pride and maintain a professional appearance.

What You Need to Qualify

• Matric certificate or equivalent.

• Valid Low-Level Order Picker (LLOP) / Power Pallet Truck (PPT) license.

• 1-2 years of experience operating LLOP/PPT in a warehouse or logistics environment.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.

• Good communication skills (verbal and written English).

• Physically able to perform tasks involving bending, lifting, stretching, and standing for extended periods.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime if necessary.

• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and SOPs.

• Basic numeracy skills for counting and inventory management.

• Proven ability to work well within a team and contribute positively to the work environment.
