🔧 About the Role
Are you passionate about water quality, sustainability, and working in a company that truly values its people? Hach, a world leader in water analysis, is looking for a Senior Field Service Engineer to support our growth in the Sub-Saharan region.
In this fully remote/field-based role, you’ll play a crucial part in servicing our instruments and systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring optimal performance of our water testing technologies. You’ll be based in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) and will travel within the region to support our customers.
✅ Key Responsibilities
✔️ Provide on-demand field service and workshop support to Hach customers
✔️ Install and verify operation of Hach instruments and systems at customer sites
✔️ Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance, calibrations, and upgrades
✔️ Document all service activities per company policies and procedures
✔️ Maintain and monitor spare parts inventory
✔️ Assist in trade shows, demos, and technical support engagements
✔️ Travel within the region (2–4 nights per month) when necessary
🎓 Minimum Qualifications & Skills
✔️ Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering
✔️ Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Field Service Engineering (preferably in the water industry)
✔️ Solid troubleshooting, diagnostic, and technical communication skills
✔️ Willingness to travel and work independently
✔️ Valid driver’s license
