Job Overview

Eduvos is seeking Academic Content Writers within the Faculty of Information Technology to develop and enhance learning materials across specialised IT disciplines.

This is an independent contract role, remunerated per submission, and involves collaboration with subject matter experts to design study materials, assessments, and digital learning content aligned with institutional standards and programme specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new study materials and assessments aligned to programme specifications

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts through communities of practice

  • Follow institutional development and branding guidelines

  • Submit developed material for moderation and quality assurance

  • Coordinate copy editing via approved processes

  • Upload and release content on relevant learning platforms

  • Review and update existing module materials and assessments

  • Resolve content-related academic queries

  • Ingest module content into LMS where required


Qualifications

Education

Essential:

  • Masterโ€™s Degree in Robotics, Data Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Network Engineering, or related field


Experience

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 yearsโ€™ lecturing and/or study material development experience in the Higher Education sector

  • Experience setting assessments across various NQF levels

Highly Preferable:

  • Experience creating interactive content on a Learning Management System (e.g., Moodle)

  • Academic journal publications


Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced academic writing skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Strong subject-matter expertise

  • LMS proficiency (e.g., Moodle)

  • Ability to structure and set up module pages

  • Assessment design capability
