Key Responsibilities
As an Account Management Intern at Microsoft, your role will include the following responsibilities:
✅ Account Planning: Assist in the execution of account plans for multiple accounts, ensuring high sales volumes, clear goals, and meeting budgets and forecasts.
✅ Customer Relationships: Cultivate relationships within the customer’s organization, driving alignment with long-term goals and ensuring successful execution.
✅ Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams to execute account strategies and leverage resources to meet customer needs.
✅ Industry Knowledge: Learn about the intricacies of your assigned accounts, Microsoft’s position in the industry, and how to create competitive advantages.
✅ Customer Digital Transformation: Support customer’s business and technology transformations, using your understanding of their needs to guide successful strategies.
✅ Problem-Solving: Collaborate with the account management team to identify and solve challenges, ensuring customer satisfaction and engagement.
Qualifications & Skills
To qualify for this internship, you should meet the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
✅ Educational Requirements: Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in System Engineering, IT, Administration, Business, or a related field.
✅ Language Proficiency: Fluent in English.
✅ Legally Authorized: Must be authorized to work in South Africa.
Preferred Qualifications:
✅ Passion for Technology: A deep interest in technology and a customer-obsessed mindset.
✅ Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas effectively.
✅ Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop solutions.
✅ Business and Technical Balance: A solid understanding of both business and technical concepts to facilitate customer transformation.
✅ Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional negotiation and customer service abilities, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
✅ Technical Consulting Experience: Any background in technical consulting or product development is a plus.
