Key Responsibilities:

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Transaction Processing: Process sales, expenses, journals, and other financial documents promptly and accurately.
  • Reconciliation: Compile and reconcile financial statements, ensuring discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Reporting: Prepare financial reports, summaries, and documents as required by management.
  • Budgets: Assist in compiling data and reports for the budget process, supporting spend management.
  • Taxes: Support in VAT and tax maintenance and reporting, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.
  • Fixed Assets and Finance Leases: Record, reconcile, and maintain records for fixed assets and finance leases.
  • Support: Provide administrative support across all areas within the accounting team.
  • Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve financial queries and issues.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations and company policies.
  • Projects: Assist in ad-hoc financial projects and tasks assigned by management.
  • Assurance: Support internal and external audit processes.

Requirements:

  • Education: Preferably a degree in Finance or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Evolution, Sage Intacct) and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while handling financial data.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and work independently.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and resolve financial issues.
