Job Overview

Access World is a global commodity warehousing and logistics business. The Accountant role is responsible for accurate IFRS financial reporting and monthly management accounts. The position oversees bookkeeping, reconciliations, month-end close, intercompany transactions, variance analyses, and audit support while maintaining internal controls and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

💼 Maintain and review internal controls, implementing policies and procedures
💼 Oversee bookkeeping functions and ensure accuracy of entries
💼 Prepare monthly management accounts: Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow
💼 Perform balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany transactions
💼 Conduct Business Unit expense analysis and budget variance review
💼 Process journal entries, revenue accruals, and month-end reporting
💼 Supervise AP/AR and finance team for accurate reporting
💼 Assist with internal and external audits, including year-end financial statements
💼 Prepare VAT returns, asset registers, and support tax compliance
💼 Collaborate with operations, HR, and legal teams for financial reporting solutions
💼 Review workflows, internal controls, and process improvements
💼 Ensure compliance with Access World Group Policies

Minimum Requirements

🎓 BCom degree or equivalent
📊 3–5 years relevant accounting experience
✅ Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
💻 High-level Excel skills; ERP experience (Oracle, SAP, or MS Dynamics preferred)
📑 Ability to meet deadlines and produce accurate financial reports
🧠 Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
🗣 Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred: Completed articles, logistics industry experience, knowledge of forex/exchange control.
