🎯 Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Accounting Business Partner to join our finance team at Hilti South Africa in Johannesburg. You’ll lead financial accounting, tax, and procurement-related finance functions and deliver business-focused financial analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organization. In this role, you’ll report directly to the Finance Director and collaborate with senior stakeholders locally and globally.

💼 Key Responsibilities

Manage month-end closing, P&L, and Balance Sheet processes.
Oversee statutory accounting and audit support.
Own local corporate tax and VAT matters and ensure compliance.
Prepare monthly financial reports and OPEX analytics.
Assist in cash flow planning and treasury management.
Collaborate with Executive Management and cross-functional teams.
Support P2P, OtC, and GL processes, and shared services coordination.
Utilize data tools (SAP, Excel, Tagetik, Tableau, etc.) for financial insights.
Present financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders clearly and effectively.

📚 Requirements

Degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
Professional qualification (e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA) or relevant Master’s degree.
Minimum 3 years post-articles experience in financial accounting.
Experience with tax compliance and external/internal audit.
Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems (SAP, SQL, Tableau).
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to simplify complex data and deliver actionable insights.
