Role Overview 📊

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team at Freudenberg Nonwovens in Cape Town. This key role involves ensuring the accurate processing and reconciliation of accounts payable transactions, managing vendor relationships, and supporting our finance operations to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Invoice Verification & Reconciliation: Ensure accurate verification and reconciliation of invoices against goods received notes, taking immediate action on any discrepancies before month-end processing.
  • Vendor Account Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements with SAP, ensuring timely and accurate processing of any corrections required prior to month-end.
  • Payment Processing: Oversee accurate and timely processing of payments, both local and foreign, through SAP and the bank.
  • Master Data Management: Maintain updated supplier information in SAP, including completing Supplier Credit Application Forms and ensuring all master data is accurate.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Ensure compliance with monthly, year-end, audit requirements, and other ad-hoc reports as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements 📋

To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate should possess:

  • National Diploma in Accounting or a related field (advantageous).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with SAP is essential for this role.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
