We are now looking for an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our team on a fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong financial and accounting skills to contribute to BP’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
๐ Accounts Receivable Management
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing and collections of outstanding accounts receivable.
- Monitor and manage aged receivables, ensuring prompt resolution of outstanding balances.
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
- Communicate with customers regarding payment terms and follow up on overdue payments.
๐ผ Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare regular accounts receivable reports and financial statements to track outstanding balances and cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with BPโs internal policies, accounting procedures, and financial regulations.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to resolve any customer issues or payment disputes.
๐ Process Improvement & Efficiency
- Identify areas for improvement in accounts receivable processes and recommend solutions to streamline operations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new financial processes and system enhancements.
๐ Financial Analysis & Forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and the budgeting process.
- Provide accurate data and insights to support business decision-making and financial planning.
Your Background:
๐ Educational Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certification in accounting (e.g., SAICA, ACCA, or similar) will be an advantage.
๐ผ Required Experience:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related finance role.
- Experience with accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to handle high-volume transactions, with a keen eye for detail.
๐ป Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills to deal effectively with customers and internal teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality financial services.
