📝 Job Overview

The Admin & Accounts Clerk will support the Finance Department by performing routine clerical, filing, and data capture tasks related to accounting records. The role is essential in ensuring accurate financial data, smooth daily operations, and timely month-end reporting. The position also includes standby support duties and adherence to strict safety and company policies.


📋 Key Responsibilities

  • Capture and maintain accurate accounting and financial records

  • Perform routine data entry for accounts payable, billing, and receivables

  • Review invoices and billing statements for accuracy and report discrepancies

  • Reconcile toll transactions and related financial data

  • Load and issue driver toll fees, night-out allowances, and trip-related funds via Korridor

  • Capture insurance details on the insurance schedule as required

  • Distribute accounting and finance reports as instructed

  • Assist with general office administration including answering calls and mail distribution

  • Perform standby duties to assist drivers with trip-related funds after hours and on a rotational weekend basis

  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS)

  • Adhere to all company policies including Quality, Drugs & Alcohol, and Safety policies

  • Perform additional reasonable duties as required from time to time


🎓 Qualifications

Education

  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate

  • Basic mathematical ability

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar clerical or accounts role

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

  • Strong verbal communication skills

  • High level of ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism

  • Assertive with the ability to work independently

  • Pastel Accounting experience (advantageous)
