About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administration Officer I for our Mega Bus contract in Kuruman. This position plays a vital support role within the Commuter Contracts division, handling a variety of administrative and clerical responsibilities. The successful candidate will contribute to effective record-keeping, reconciliation, and coordination of administrative functions, particularly in the area of fuel administration and petty cash.
This is the perfect role for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong numeric abilities, and the capability to thrive independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities

Perform daily general administrative tasks including data entry, document management, and filing.

Handle fuel administration and maintain records with high accuracy.

Process petty cash claims, journals, and purchase orders.

Reconcile financial records and ensure up-to-date reporting.

Provide support with customer queries and internal team requests.

Coordinate creditors’ functions and ensure all deadlines are met.

Assist in the preparation of reports and special projects.

Maintain and organize digital and physical filing systems.

Support ad-hoc projects and general office tasks as needed.
Requirements
-
Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
-
2–3 years general administration experience (preferably in the bus industry)

Previous experience in fuel administration
-
Tertiary qualification in basic bookkeeping or accounting (advantageous)

High proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
-
Solid numerical and reconciliation skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

Strong attention to detail and accuracy
