About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administration Officer I for our Mega Bus contract in Kuruman. This position plays a vital support role within the Commuter Contracts division, handling a variety of administrative and clerical responsibilities. The successful candidate will contribute to effective record-keeping, reconciliation, and coordination of administrative functions, particularly in the area of fuel administration and petty cash.

This is the perfect role for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong numeric abilities, and the capability to thrive independently and as part of a team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily general administrative tasks including data entry, document management, and filing.

  • Handle fuel administration and maintain records with high accuracy.

  • Process petty cash claims, journals, and purchase orders.

  • Reconcile financial records and ensure up-to-date reporting.

  • Provide support with customer queries and internal team requests.

  • Coordinate creditors’ functions and ensure all deadlines are met.

  • Assist in the preparation of reports and special projects.

  • Maintain and organize digital and physical filing systems.

  • Support ad-hoc projects and general office tasks as needed.


Requirements

  • Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate

  • 2–3 years general administration experience (preferably in the bus industry)

  • Previous experience in fuel administration

  • Tertiary qualification in basic bookkeeping or accounting (advantageous)

  • High proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Solid numerical and reconciliation skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
