This full-time internship offers practical exposure to national education and training systems, administrative operations, and stakeholder coordination. It’s a chance to gain skills in real-world compliance, project support, and operational performance reporting while contributing to South Africa’s development goals.


📝 Key Responsibilities

🔍 Documentation and Data Validation

  • Receive, print, validate, and capture learner documents aligned with the DHET Validation Framework.

  • Scan verified agreements and supporting documentation for SETMIS compliance.

  • Communicate anomalies in evidence validation to internal Specialists and external stakeholders.

🗃️ Filing & Record Management

  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical records of learner files and signed contracts.

  • Label, store, and retrieve learner performance files efficiently as per the Learning Programmes procedure.

  • Support document requests for audits and external reviews (e.g., DHET/AG/IA).

💼 Administrative & Office Support

  • Coordinate meeting schedules, compile and edit minutes, and process travel requests and claims.

  • Prepare administrative documentation for Specialist sign-off and route it for approval.

  • Ensure proper filing of all administrative documents, including submissions and requisitions.

📈 Reporting & Quality Improvement

  • Assist in compiling operational data for performance reports.

  • Validate allocation letters and contracts in line with DG reports before submission.

  • Email finance to confirm contract submissions.

  • Collaborate with Specialists on developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and driving process improvements.

🤝 Stakeholder Liaison

  • Attend internal and external meetings to support relationships with colleges, employers, universities, government bodies, and internal departments.

  • Respond promptly to audit queries and maintain professional correspondence related to CATHSSETA policies.
