Are you ready to take the next step in your administrative career with one of South Africa’s leading financial services companies? Alexander Forbes is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Administrator to join our dynamic team in Sandton.
In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in the operational success of our retirement fund administration by ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient processing aligned with both industry standards and internal service level agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Fund Administration:
-
Monthly contribution reconciliations for Pension and Provident Funds.

Maintenance and updating of accurate member data records.
-
Compliance with Section 13A reporting standards.
-
Processing of a variety of claims, including bulk transfers.
-
Handling direct/guaranteed housing loans (if applicable).
-
Preparing monthly client reporting packs.
-
Compiling Administration Reports and Member Statements.
-
Managing transfer documents and allocations.
-
Preparing fund information for financial year-end.
-
Proactively monitoring risk reports.
-
Ensuring all emails and client queries are actioned daily.
✅ Client Service Excellence:
-
Delivering timely and accurate communication to both internal and external clients.

Collaborating effectively with consultants, the ALM team, and other departments.
-
Ensuring high-quality outputs with attention to accuracy and compliance.
✅ Operational & Financial Efficiency:
-
Managing and maintaining branch-level expenses.
-
Preventing and minimizing PI claims through diligence.
-
Supporting process improvements and internal initiatives.
✅ Regulatory & Internal Alignment:
-
Staying up-to-date with industry legislation and Alexander Forbes policies.
-
Demonstrating continuous learning and implementing Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles in all interactions.
✅ Teamwork & Engagement:

Assisting teammates during high-pressure periods or absenteeism.
-
Taking initiative on additional responsibilities.
-
Positively contributing to team morale and performance.
What You Need to Succeed:
📘 Education:
-
Grade 12 (Matric) – Essential
🛠 Technical Competencies:
-
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel (intermediate), and Word.
-
Strong communication skills – written and verbal.
-
Able to multitask, manage change, and deliver under pressure.
-
Knowledge of Compass and Alex systems (advantageous).
-
Ability to interpret and apply Retirement Fund rules and industry legislation.
