About the Role

In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for managing student admissions and registration processes with precision, ensuring compliance, and delivering outstanding service in collaboration with recruitment and academic teams.

Key Responsibilities
📘 Student Application & Admission
-
Collaborate with the recruitment team to process and resolve student admission queries
-
Evaluate applications against academic criteria and determine eligibility
-
Manage communication around admission outcomes, waitlists, and declined or expired offers
-
Issue admission letters and track conditional requirements
-
Ensure data accuracy and compliance with institutional policies
-
Work closely with Finance on fee-related admission concerns
-
Support national admission projects and process improvements
📝 Student Registration
-
Apply and manage account holds for missing documents or conditional admissions
-
Verify registrations against admissions
-
Ensure correct module registration, especially for School of Education students
-
Support new student transfers and short learning programme (SLP) registrations
-
Oversee external credit application process and document collection
-
Ensure international student documentation is accurate and compliant
📊 Reporting & Compliance
-
Train and support new recruitment staff on admissions processes
-
Liaise with the Assistant Registrar to resolve system or policy issues
-
Comply with POPIA and other legislative frameworks
-
Conduct periodic audits and maintain accurate admission files
Requirements
✅ Minimum Qualifications
-
National Diploma/Advanced Certificate (NQF Level 6)
-
Advantageous: Advanced Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 7)
✅ Experience
-
Minimum 2 years of administrative experience
-
Prior experience in student admissions is preferred
