Job Overview
AnyVan is expanding its use of AI-powered conversational agents across live customer and partner interactions. These systems are already handling thousands of real conversations daily across voice and chat channels.
The AI Conversation Analyst role is a rare graduate opportunity focused on shaping how AI communicates in the real world. This is not a traditional quality assurance or rotational graduate role. Instead, it offers deep ownership, critical thinking, and direct influence over AI behaviour, customer experience, and product evolution.
This role suits individuals who enjoy analysing complex systems, identifying patterns, and continuously improving outcomes without relying on rigid playbooks or predefined processes.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Review AI-handled voice calls and chat transcripts daily to understand conversational performance and system behaviour
β’ Evaluate whether AI interactions feel natural, empathetic, trustworthy, and on-brand
β’ Ensure AI agents follow defined rules, policies, and system logic correctly
β’ Assess whether the AI accurately understands user intent and takes appropriate actions
β’ Identify subtle failure points, edge cases, and patterns driving customer frustration or escalation
β’ Translate insights into improved prompts, conversational flows, and behavioural logic
β’ Directly edit and refine AI prompts within governance controls
β’ Monitor and measure the impact of changes on customer experience and AI performance
β’ Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and senior stakeholders to prioritise improvements
β’ Support the rollout of new AI use cases as the business introduces new products, rules, and markets
Qualifications
Education
β’ Bachelorβs degree or equivalent qualification preferred but not essential
β’ Open to recent graduates or early-career professionals
Experience
β’ No formal AI or technical background required
β’ Experience analysing conversations, user behaviour, or customer journeys is advantageous
Skills
β’ Strong analytical and systems-thinking ability
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
β’ High attention to detail with the ability to recognise patterns across conversations
β’ Comfort working with ambiguity and incomplete information
β’ Data literacy with the ability to interpret trends and produce meaningful reports
β’ Emotional intelligence and strong judgement
