✈️ JOB OVERVIEW

The Air Traffic Services (ATS) Bursary Programme is designed to develop future aviation professionals through structured academic and practical training.

Successful candidates will study at the ATNS Aviation Training Academy and receive intensive exposure to air traffic management disciplines. Placement after training will be aligned with ATNS operational requirements nationwide.

Available Training Streams include:

• Air Traffic Services Officer (ATSO)

• Aeronautical Information Management Officer (AIMO)

• Target Generating Officer (TGO)

• Airport Management Centre (AMC) Liaison Officer

• Simulator Support Officer (SSO)

🧭 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in structured aviation theory and practical training

• Gain exposure to air traffic control and aviation operations

• Complete assessments and simulations as part of the training programme

• Adhere to aviation safety, operational, and regulatory standards

• Demonstrate discipline, professionalism, and commitment throughout training

🎓 QUALIFICATIONS

📘 Education

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate with:

  • Pure Mathematics: Level 4 or higher

  • English: Level 4 or higher

🧑‍💼 Experience

• No prior work experience required

• Must be unemployed at the time of application

• Strong numerical and analytical ability

• Excellent communication skills

• High levels of concentration and discipline

• Willingness to relocate anywhere in South Africa
