Are you passionate about data analytics and fraud detection? Capitec Bank is looking for an Analyst: Fraud Data to join our team and play a key role in detecting and mitigating fraud risks. As part of our dynamic team, you’ll work with various data sources and systems to identify fraud trends, implement fraud mitigation strategies, and help protect both our customers and stakeholders.
💼 Key Responsibilities:
✅ Analyze data to detect fraud trends and anomalies across various systems.
✅ Provide actionable recommendations to reduce financial losses and mitigate fraud risks.
✅ Design and implement fraud mitigation strategies, writing expert fraud rules.
✅ Develop dashboards and metrics to track the effectiveness of fraud prevention initiatives.
✅ Collaborate with teams to operationalize fraud mitigation strategies.
✅ Constantly monitor and update fraud strategies based on data insights and industry trends.
🎯 Requirements:
✔ 3 to 5 years of experience in data analytics.
✔ 1 to 2 years of experience in fraud detection.
✔ Strong skills in data analysis and identifying anomalies.
✔ Proficiency in SQL querying and database extraction.
✔ Basic understanding of machine learning algorithms (supervised and unsupervised).
✔ Experience with data visualization, preferably in Power BI.
✔ Python proficiency is a plus but not a requirement.
✔ Grade 12 National Certificate/Vocational with a tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Statistics.
