Are you an experienced Enrolled Nurse or Phlebotomist with a passion for patient care? We are looking for a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team. As an Enrolled Nurse / Phlebotomist, your primary responsibility will be the collection, handling, and transportation of samples for testing, as well as assisting with self-collection and certain medical procedures under the supervision of a nurse or doctor. Key Responsibilities:

Sample Collection & Handling:

  • Collect samples from various clients according to standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Ensure safe handling and transportation of specimens for testing.
  • Maintain high-quality standards for sample collection in line with the OHS Act.

Point of Care Testing:

  • Assist with point of care testing to ensure prompt and accurate results.
  • Provide functional support across various departments and assist with medical procedures under supervision.

Administrative & Communication Support:

  • Handle administrative duties related to sample collection and report delivery.
  • Address queries and ensure effective communication with both internal teams and clients.

Quality Management & Compliance:

  • Adhere to quality assurance processes in accordance with company SOPs.
  • Follow company policies and maintain a strong commitment to operational standards.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and workplace safety protocols.

Teamwork & Ethical Standards:

  • Act as a team player, supporting the department and working collaboratively with nurses and doctors.
  • Uphold respect, accountability, and ethical behavior in all interactions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Educational Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare or phlebotomy-related role.
  • Professional Registration: Registered with HPCSA / SANC as a qualified Medical Technician in Phlebotomy.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Valid driver’s license (required for company vehicle use).
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety and quality care.
