Role Overview:

As a Credit Controller at Clover, you will play a crucial role in managing our outstanding debts and maintaining strong customer relationships. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely collection of payments, processing, and reconciling invoices. Key Responsibilities:

💳 Trade Debt Collection

• Confirm payments for new and existing customer accounts to ensure timely settlements.
• Control allocated accounts by following up on outstanding debts and ensuring all collections are up to date.
• Address and log customer queries related to accounts and payments, ensuring effective resolution.
• Maintain positive customer relations to foster long-term partnerships.

📈 Credit Management

• Request increases in credit limits for customers when necessary.
• Evaluate and monitor credit risk to ensure the business is protected from unnecessary exposure.

📋 Record Keeping and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of all debt collection activities and reconcile customer accounts.
• Ensure that reports on overdue accounts are prepared and submitted as per company requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

✅ Education:

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4 qualification.
• An equivalent Credit Management qualification is highly desirable.

✅ Experience:

• Previous experience in credit control or a similar role within a finance or customer service environment is beneficial.

✅ Skills:

• Fluent in Business English.
• Intermediate computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
• A valid Code 10 motor vehicle license is required for this role.

✅ Competencies:

• Proactive and action-oriented, with a drive for achieving results.
• Strong ability to plan and organize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
• Able to work with integrity, honesty, and consistency.
