Job Description
As a Process Trainer at Anglo American, you will play an integral role in enhancing employee skills, safety, and performance across various operational departments. Your ability to deliver engaging, effective training sessions will directly impact the success and safety of the organisation. Here’s a breakdown of your key responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Safety & Health Focus – Ensure safety principles are applied at all times, aiming for zero harm and eliminating fatalities.
✔ Training Delivery – Lead interactive training sessions, workshops, and simulations tailored to various employee roles and departments.
✔ Instructional Design – Create learning experiences based on adult learning principles and cater to diverse learning styles.
✔ Customised Content – Adapt content and delivery methods to suit participants’ needs, ensuring high levels of comprehension.
✔ Subject Matter Expertise – Provide training in areas such as safety procedures, equipment operation, and compliance regulations.
✔ Continuous Improvement – Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes, incorporating this into your training materials.
✔ Inclusive Environment – Foster a positive learning environment that motivates employees to actively engage in training.
✔ Assessments & Feedback – Administer assessments, quizzes, and practical evaluations, providing constructive feedback to ensure learning progress.
✔ Training Logistics – Organise and manage the logistics of training sessions, including scheduling, room setup, and equipment preparation.
✔ Collaboration – Work closely with subject matter experts and other trainers to refine training materials and enhance overall training effectiveness.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- OD-ETDP NQF4
- Assessor Certificate and registered technical qualifications
- Process Skills Programme certificates are required
- National Certificate in Mineral Processing (L2) is advantageous
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role or environment
- Strong Presentation & Facilitation Skills – Ability to deliver clear, impactful training
- Organisational Skills – Ability to manage training materials, equipment, and logistics
- Valid EB/Code 08 Driver’s License
- Medical Certificate of Fitness
- Flexibility to travel and meet ad hoc requirements
