Are you passionate about customer service and have a positive, energetic attitude? Planet Fitness in Umhlanga is seeking a dynamic Receptionist to manage our Welcome Desk and provide a great first impression to all members. In this permanent position, you will play a key role in enhancing member satisfaction and ensuring the smooth operation of the reception area.

📋 Key Responsibilities:

As the Receptionist at Planet Fitness, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Welcome Desk Management: Ensure the reception area is efficiently managed to provide a positive and welcoming first impression to members. 🏋️‍♀️
  • Club Administration Support: Assist with various administrative duties, contributing to the smooth running of the club. 📝
  • Cash Management: Handle cash transactions with accuracy and responsibility. 💵
  • Member & Staff Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with both members and staff. 📞
  • Access & Security Monitoring: Oversee access controls for staff and members, ensuring the safety and security of the club. 🔒
  • Stock Control: Manage and monitor reception stock to ensure availability of necessary supplies. 📦
  • Member Complaints Resolution: Address and resolve any member complaints in a professional and efficient manner. 🤝
  • Training & Leading Receptionists: Train and support new Receptionists, ensuring a high standard of service. 👩‍🏫
  • Group Exercise Classes: Assist with or conduct group exercise classes when needed. 🏃‍♀️

📚 Experience & Competencies Required:

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate staff and lead by example. 💪
  • Administrative Accuracy: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks. ✔️
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Friendly, approachable, and able to create a welcoming atmosphere for all members. 😊
  • Integrity & Honesty: Uphold the highest levels of integrity and honesty in all duties. 🔑
  • Excellent Communication: Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with all levels of staff and members. 📣
  • PC Skills: Intermediate level of PC proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office, email). 💻
  • Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts as required. ⏰
  • High Energy Levels: Must be energetic and enthusiastic, especially during busy times. ⚡
  • Previous Experience: Prior experience in a front desk or customer-facing role is an advantage. 🌟
  • Staff Management: Proven ability to manage and lead teams effectively, including planning, organizing, and problem-solving. 📊
  • Reliable Transport: Must have access to reliable transport for commuting. 🚗
